Irish Writing Services is owned and managed by Eddie Lennon, a published Irish author, editor and journalist with 25 years’ writing and editing experience. He also has an Honours degree in Law from Trinity College, Dublin.
Since the early 1990s, he has written for all the major Irish newspapers. He worked as a feature and investigative writer with the Evening Press, and later with the Irish Independent, The Irish Times and The Sunday Times. He has worked as a consumer affairs writer for the Irish Independent’s business section, and was responsible for coining the phrase “Rip-off Republic,” which later became the title of a popular TV consumer show.
He has worked as a newspaper columnist for Irish newspapers, in the area of consumer writing, with the Sunday Tribune and The Sunday Times. He was founding editor of the best-selling magazine You & Your Money. As well as contributing to Irish newspapers he has contributed articles to Times Higher Education magazine; The Guardian, The European and the San Francisco Examiner; and travel pieces to National Geographic, The Travel Magazine, The Irish Times and the Irish Examiner.
He is the editor of “The Parisians’ Guide to Cafés, Bars and Restaurants,” a unique, insiders’ guide to where to eat and drink in the French capital. He is also the author of “Wonderful Havana,” an award-winning guide to the Cuban capital.
